How to Hold on to the Afterglow of a Journey
The afterglow of a journey feels like a pure connection with yourself. Two days ago, I did a deep dive myself. Every journey is different, but for me, the afterglow always feels the same: I feel clear, with a serene sense of calm inside me. I feel completely myself.
Often, this feeling fades because my ego starts prioritizing other things over that connection. Then I start thinking that taking time for myself isn’t so important.
For me, the key is to stay very close to myself. Especially now, I take time for meditation, a walk, listening to my playlist, and paying close attention to my body. It’s all about being present.
When I feel the connection slipping, I bring it back by consciously choosing something I truly need, combined with rest.
Another thing that can help after a journey is starting with microdosing, to strengthen the new path you’ve created. You can do this alone or in a group. This way, it becomes easier to integrate the connection you experienced during the journey into your everyday life.
